July Club Event is Road Rally and Judges Training Class
The Virginia Jaguar Club event for July 24, 2010 will be a navigational tour around Richmond. The start point for this tour will be Brown's Jaguar at 10505 Midlothian Parkway in Richmond. The first car will roll out at 10:00 AM. The tour will take you on a 2 hour drive along scenic and lightly travelled rural roads around the west side of Richmond. The tour will end at the Virginia Crossings Resort near the I-95 / I-295 junction. We will have lunch together at the restaurant.
The only necessary instrument is a functional odometer in your car. Each driver and navigator team will be provided with a set of instructions. The instructions will guide you along a route in and around Richmond. The route will run on paved public roads. If you follow the instructions without any errors, you should complete the route in about 2 hours. In case you get lost, an "emergency envelope" will help you find your way.
Included in the instructions are several questions. Points will be awarded for correct answers. In the event of a tie, the team with a total elapsed distance closest to the official value will be declared the winner.
Once at our location, our Chief Concours Judge Wayne Estrada
will conduct the annual pre-concourse training class for all
persons interested in continuing or begining to become a certified
JCNA Judge, this is a not to be missed event!
If you have any questions about renewing or obtaining your
CJ (Certified Judge) qualifications, please contact Wayne
at westrada@us.ibm.com or call him at 202-680-8668.
The CJ test is available on line on the VJC web site.
New and returning Judgs can take the test as many times as
you like; it even will tell you if you have passed or
failed in real time. Check it out at
